Job Description:

PSI Group is looking for a Web Designer for one of its top clients in the Mooresville area.

 

Primary responsibilities will consist of both designing and producing new merchandising campaigns while additionally overseeing the enhancements and maintenance of the merchandising visual design templates on our client’s website.
 
This role is highly collaborative in nature. The Web Designer will rely on extensive experience in working with both internal marketing clients as well as collaborating with external agencies when delivering integrated creative designs on and off our client’s website.
 
While design and production are primary responsibilities, strong communication skills are critical in order to deliver effective implementations. Working with fellow designers, merchandisers, developers, and business leadership will be integral to the position. Through these interactions, the Web Designer will be expected to communicate strategies and demonstrate the thought and direction behind the designs.
 
All designs conceptualized and produced will be extremely professional in finish and quality. An ability to interpret information architecture and understand its influence on the visual design process is a must. Every design and the markup produced to implement it must be based on a strong understanding of XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Responsibilities:
• Interpret branding requirements and apply to online and technical implementations.
• Support business for creative needs, such as generation of banner ads, new graphics, and general support.
• Consult with product managers, business owners, and relevant stakeholders to translate business requirements into a suitable functional design.
• Produce pages and templates to support merchandising activities.
• Develop an understanding of the operations of each of our client’s business groups and collaborate on a regular basis to reflect business requirements in design and execution.

Qualifications:
• Fluent in user experience (UX) design
• Knowledge of HTML/XHTML, CSS, web standards and cross-browser design. Hands-on experience must be demonstrated.
• Advanced Adobe Creative Suite experience

• Extensive design portfolio demonstrating marketing and interactive site experience
• Team player with an ability to interact with all levels of an organization on a collaborative basis
• Ability to think strategically as well as tactically in a fast paced environment
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Adept at executing multiple assignments and meeting agreed deadlines
• High production values/strong quality assurance

Work Experience and Education Guidelines:
• Must have 3 to 5 years experience with interactive sites
• Travel or consumer/retail experience desired

 

Pay is negotiable based upon experience.
