Challenge
The client is an industry leader in the design, creation, and management of IT infrastructure for business.  Upon being awarded a large desktop services project with multiple geographic locations and multiple skill sets required, they faced the challenge of quickly hiring the talent necessary to support such a large project. They needed a scaleable staffing solution that could expand and contract quickly and easily, and one that could be deployed quickly throughout the Midwest.  The deployed resources would require ongoing customer and technical training, and commitment to the project for an indefinite period of time.

Approach
PSI Group helped the client formulate a very scalable and flexible staffing solution to address the needs of this specific project.  The solution consisted of an exclusively based combination of contract-to-permanent and project based staffing with contact points in multiple geographic regions where project teams were needed.  Additionally, a combination of paid training, accrued paid time off, and bonuses were provided to the consultants.

Result
The result was a staffing solution that allowed for rapid deployment of screened and trained technical resources throughout the Midwest.  The bonus structure was based on satisfactory completion of client service level agreements, which created higher customer satisfaction and encouraged long-term contract employment.  Since the technical resources were managed through local offices, PSI Group ensured a rapid response to client needs and thorough screening of all resources. The combination of long-term and project based resources allowed the client to adjust their resources quickly and easily as needed.  An added benefit was a 75% reduction in the group's turnover rate from previous projects of a similar nature. They also experienced an increase in customer satisfaction, while decreasing the time required to close open technical calls.
